The Saugatuck-Douglas Rotary Club would like to thank our sponsors in a special way. We will be featuring each of our Sponsors on our Facebook page with a memorable story about them and their connection to Saugatuck-Douglas.
Today we’re thanking Bryon Pearson and RB Marine Services. Bryon stepped in after Covid to help Cow Hill bring the band, Star Farm, back to the Venetian Festival. Realizing Star Farm’s popularity as a crowd favorite, Bryon wanted to make sure they were back in Saugatuck to entertain following the social distancing of Covid. He knew how much everyone enjoyed their music and show — locals and tourists alike!
Bryon loves the Venetian Fest and all it brings to our lakeshore communities. The dinghy poker run is crazy fun and the lighted boat parade is a big draw.
But the concert “is the best night of the Summer!”, smiles Bryon. His enthusiasm for the festival and the water began at a young age. Bryon grew up learning to sail at the Saugatuck Yacht Club. His kids have been raised in the community too. His daughter just finished her freshman year at Grand Valley State University. While at Saugatuck High School she played four years of Varsity basketball and two years of Varsity volleyball. Bryon’s son is a sophomore at SHS and plays Varsity soccer and JV basketball.
You may know Bryon’s wife, Jenny, who works for the City of the Village of Douglas. They love to spend their free time watching their kids play sports and boating on Lake Michigan.
If you see Bryon or Jenny, please join us in thanking them for their support and generous donation of Venetian Fest 2023!
