Rock Ruthsatz
Last week we thanked the “B” of RB Marine Services, Byron Pearson. This week we’d like to cast the Sponsor Spotlight on Bryon’s partner, Rock Ruthsatz. Rock loves supporting all the cool events that make our small town magical. “Summer is all about boating and being out on the water.” The Venetian Festival is a celebration of each of these… summer, boating and water combined, so it made sense to support Venetian Fest 2023. “It’s what we do and who we are… it was a no brainer!”
Rock was an Auto Shop school teacher for 20 years in Three Oaks. He earned a European Specialist degree in auto repair, specializing in electrical and performance. His college education uniquely prepared Rock for a smooth transition to boats and marine repair. He began repairing friends’ boats at least five years ago. Both Rock and Bryon realized there was a huge need in Saugatuck Douglas for marine service. When Bryon mentioned the idea for the business to Rock, the timing seemed perfect for their partnership, and RB Marine Services was born. Rock is happy to say, “We are here 100% to serve the community. It’s why we opened. Our job is to get people on the water.”
Rock and his wife Jessica made Saugatuck home about 8 years ago. They have 10 y.o. Cruz and 7 y.o. Otto who both attend Douglas Elementary School. Jessica and Rock have one of the coolest “how we met” stories. Be sure to ask him! Yes, it involves cars.
What Rock likes best about Venetian Festival is that it’s a time when the whole community comes together. “All our friends are there for the celebration!” Please join Rotary in thanking Rock and RB Marine Services for their support of Venetian Fest 2023 and the entire community.
